The network “Urbanes Energiespeicherkraftwerk” aims at the development and testing of energy storage power plants with low height potential in urban areas in order to compensate for peak loads combining energy generation from water, wind and heat intelligently. The main goal is to set up an internationally established centre of competences for energy generation through latent energy with large expansion but low height potential. Based on the cluster of competences the network’s intention is to become the worldwide leader in this technological field and serve international markets.
